MSDS 即物質安全數據單（ Material Safety Data Sheet ）的英文簡寫， MSDS 也常被翻譯成化學品安全說明書。它是化學品生產、貿易、銷售企業(yè)按法律要求向下游客戶和公眾提供的有關化學品特征的一份 綜合性法規(guī)文件 。它提供化學品的理化參數、燃爆性能、對健康的危害、安全使用貯存、泄漏處置、急救措施以及有關的法律法規(guī)等十六項內容。
